  • State pension
  • Pension Credit
  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Personal Independence Payment
  • Attendance Allowance
  • Carer’s Allowance

The payments are going out between October 31 and November 19 so if a person has not received their money in their bank account yet, it should arrive over the next two weeks.

The reference for bank accounts will be the recipient’s National Insurance number followed by DWP COL or HMRC COLS.

The DWP will be sending out the £300 payment to seven million households while HMRC will send out the payments to around 830,000 more.

Older Britons and those on low incomes eligible for the Warm Home Discount should also receive their payment soon, a £150 discount off their electricity or gas bill.

The money goes directly to a person’s energy supplier to ultimately come off their bill rather than being paid into an individual’s bank account.

In most cases, the discount will be applied automatically to a person’s bill, between early October 2023 and the end of March 2024.
